Who we are
 |
The Family Room is on the third floor of the children’s hospital and has five bedrooms, each with a private bath and TV. We have a common living room, kitchen and laundry facilities. We serve families from the New York Tri-state area, the Hudson Valley region and throughout the country.
Families that stay with us typically have a child receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, the Burn Unit or the Oncology floor. The length of stay varies from one night to three months, with the average stay being six nights. The families are asked to make a nominal donation of $15 per night, although this may be reduced or waived entirely if necessary.
The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital is a new regional Trauma Center providing the highest quality care in a state-of-the-art facility. Children are treated with open-heart surgery, organ transplantation, advanced chemotherapy, emergency trauma surgery and other medical and surgical programs that are not available anywhere else in the Hudson Valley region or in lower Connecticut.
